​I am an RSA-approved driving instructor with close to 30 years of driving experience, based in Greystones, County Wicklow.

It was in the mid-1990s that I first discovered I had a natural ability for teaching. After moving to northern Spain with my now wife, I spent three years teaching English in language academies in Bilbao. This experience confirmed my enjoyment of helping others learn new skills in a calm, supportive environment.

As the millennium approached, I returned to Ireland during the Celtic Tiger years and went on to spend 27 years working in finance within the construction industry. In early 2025, following redundancy, my instincts immediately drew me back to teaching — a profession I had always found both rewarding and fulfilling.

Over the years, I had also taught members of my own family how to drive, which reinforced my desire to pursue driving instruction professionally. I followed that instinct and qualified as an RSA-approved driving instructor in October 2025.

I believe my calm demeanour, patient approach, and clear understanding of what is required to become a safe and responsible driver help learners achieve strong results. I work with beginners completing their EDT sessions, learners preparing for their driving test, and qualified drivers looking to refresh their skills.
